This art is reworks with single sheets of handmade paper which series is labeled as “Relief”. Her artwork of paper is just the paper folding techniques used in origami to transform the special Japanese paper known as kyokushi into compelling geometric patterns designs. Yuko Nishimura combines traditional methods with existing aesthetics across a monochromatic color scheme to make for one visually fascinating set of paper structures that echo the shape and visual pattern of mandalas. Faraz In the USA, numerous gallery guards are essential to dress in uniform and to stand among visitors in order to ensure that no one touches the artwork paintings. In Russia, the traditions of a gallery guard are a bit different in such way. The women featured in these photographs sit alongside the precious gallery artwork paintings in museums as employees, also get hired to protect the history that surrounds them, but not required to wear certain outfits as identifiers or officials. However they aren’t wearing uniforms, they do have an important task at hand to check and balance. The women choose to work in the galleries and guard the collections because they enjoy being surrounded by Russia’s great art of paintings and other murals. A Photographer Andy Freeberg found great interest in these women and created this project, which entitled Guardians of Russian Art Museums for favorite gallery artwork.
