Suzi Landscape ecology by definition deals with the ecology of landscapes. Surprisingly, there are many different interpretations of the term “landscape.” The disparity in definitions makes it difficult to communicate clearly, and even more difficult to establish consistent management policies. Definitions of landscape invariably include an area of land containing a mosaic of patches or landscape elements (see below). Forman and Godron (1986) defined landscape as a heterogeneous land area composed of a cluster of interacting ecosystems that is repeated in similar form throughout. The concept differs from the traditional ecosystem concept in focusing on groups of ecosystems and the interactions among them. HDR Photography Of Stunning Places
September 14th, 2011 Suzi HDR photography was a technique mostly developed for virtual lighting in 3d applications. Applied carefully, High Dynamic Range-technique (HDR) can create incredibly beautiful pictures which blur our sense of the difference between reality and illusion. In graphics HDR imaging is a set of techniques that allow a far greater dynamic range of exposures than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to the deepest shadows. This is usually achieved by modifying photos with image processing software for tone-mapping. And the results can be really incredible; in fact, many artists and designers come up with some pretty fancy results.This post covers extremely beautiful and perfectly executed HDR-pictures. Some of them might look surreal, too colorful, even magic or fake, but they are not — keep in mind that they’ve all been developed out of usual photos, and not a single image is an illustration.

August 4th, 2011 Sweet Mehvish The Northern Areas of Pakistan, defined in general terms, cover the districts of Gilgit, Diamer, Ghizer, Ghanche and Skardu. The Northern Areas are the Pakistani-held portion of Kashmir, a `Federally Administered Area’ due to the unresolved conflict there. The Northern Areas are highly mountainous; with the Hindu Kush to the west, Himalaya to the south and east, and Karakorum in this state, and Pamirs to the north. July 15th, 2011 Suzi A rainbow spans a continuous spectrum of colors; the distinct bands including the number of bands, are an artifact of human color vision, and no banding of any type is seen in a black-and-white photo of a rainbow, only a smooth gradation of intensity to a maximum, then fading to a minimum at the other side of the arc. For colors seen by a normal human eye, the most commonly cited and remembered sequence, in English, is Newton’s sevenfold red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet . However, color-blind persons will see fewer colors.Rainbows can be caused by many forms of airborne water. These include not only rain, but also mist, spray, and airborne dew.
