Numan The complicated origami models were folded into figure by Brian Chan, a 31-year-old craft trainer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. These vivid and gorgeous individuals appear to disclose the occupied complexity of life – and until now each is completed from a part of paper. He said: “I started by copying work of other authors about 20 years ago but behind a while I was good sufficient to start coming up with my own pieces. When I was growing up, my parents bought me a lot of origami books they start with simple models and then the diagrams get more and more composite near the end, so they are good sources for independent learning.”Mr Chan began making his magnificent sculptures when he was just ten years old and taught himself the Japanese art-form using books as a guide.
